In the Middle of Somewhere
I'm in the middle of the road, between the big trees on either side. On one fine afternoon, when the wet yellow leaves fall. That fall with the rest of the rain and wet the head. At the end of the road, the light paled, slowly darkened, night has come to absorb its light. I stood, waiting for the last glimmer of light. That disappeared, hiding somewhere. When the last light dims and leaves, the lights on all sides of the road are on golden yellow, the light shining gracefully, dazzling black wet asphalt, the rest of the rain last night. I'm still there. Standing in the middle, waiting for the light at the end of the road, lost in some way. The trees stared sadly. The rain fell again. The drops beautify the streetlights, illuminating the body and the trees like a miracle. The night grew darker, and I was out of sight. A ray of light on the highway, guiding his footsteps. found me, and brought me home He just knew, if there were the trees and the golden glow of the street lamps...
